Is anyone old enough to remember Pat Benetar and the song 'All Fired Up!'?
"Now i believe there comes a time,
when everything just falls in line.
We live and learn by our mistakes,
the deepest cuts are healed by faith."
I kind of like that ideology; everything will fall in line and deep cuts are eventually healed...with a little faith (spiritual or otherwise)
A bit like those who have often tried to take Kristen down in the past with their hate; denying she has any involvement in her boyfriends life. But now that Rob and Kristen have chosen not to give a 'shit' anymore about their status and just get on with life...so certain things have fallen into place.
Of course with that, stupid people will continue to slag off those who follow the path of good fortune (accepting two people are together) and decide that their 'voice' needs to be heard as they keep spewing up the bullshit. Even going so far as to read blogs they have absolute no interest in, comment that they believe the person writing the blog is talking nonsense...heh! If you have to post, at the very least register and let the people you are running down know who you are - okay?
You see i view life as a challenge and there is nothing more challenging than being in this fandom and embracing the good, the bad and the darn right ugly. the ugly is the bullshit and fuckery that spills out of people's minds and runs through their fingertips as they type on their keyboards, posting up their points of view. Point's of view that mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. They see Rob as a 'wasted actor' or Kristen as a 'drugged out lesbian' who Rob is bearding, because she can't get laid <yeah i know it gets better, trust me>
When all else fails, reduce yourself to making up stories and posting up fake accounts just so you can say to yourself 'today i fucked with the world'
Well...didn't you know, the world can sometimes fuck back with you? It's called karma and it has a really long list of people to 'fuck up' too!
Haters and freaked out so called 'fans', make the best acquaintances and the worst enemies. I love how in one corner, you have the die hard haterSten; those that hate everything there is to hate about a 21 year old woman. While the panicky Drama Llamas have to panic about every single piece of gossip posted in a magazine/gossip glossy or bird cage liner, worrying about the state of 'Rob and Kristen's relationship' it amazes me that these people find time to do anything else, like 'get on with their own lives' because they worry too much about others?
Of course, i came into this fandom expecting nothing else. When you read the dreaded words 'Rob fans' for me, all hope is gone. I can understand the young teenagers; girls dreaming about finding their 'perfect Edward' or hoping by some amazing miracle, the actor will take one look at them, drop everything and run off into the sunset...well a girl can dream right?
But the majority of the shit that seems to follow you everywhere comes from women who should know better. I'm talking about those over the legal age limit; people who either are old enough to understand the difference between being a fan and being a stalker, or those with children of their own and are living a secondary teenage fantasy. Slobbering after a man who in some cases, is old enough to be their son <or maybe that's the other creepy element?>
No matter what place you are in this fandom, people seem to get themselves 'all fired up' for no good reason. As you know, i am not online all the time (real life can be a bitch i know, but i get used to it!) i don't sit for hours a day stalking and watching everyone and everything people say. Or have to comment on anything posted relating to Rob and Kristen (work is hell and I'm driving the bus!) so the latest hate/love/bitch/whine/moan concern at the moment is 'Twilight v's The Hunger Games' and are they better than 'Harry Potter'?
I was once a 'Potter' fan (I know get over it) purely for the books and not the actors who played the characters. The canon of the books, was something fans young and old discussed at length; will Harry end up with Hermione or Ginny? (Should have seen that one coming) will the Weasley's have their 'happily ever after?' (Didn't see that one coming) and will all bad suddenly become good and actors get better looking with each movie? (Yeah, they actually did happen...with the exception of...)
I'm not really interested in what 'book series is better than the other' or 'what movie series will be better than the other one?'
The need to pit one franchise against the other is incredibly boring. It's like the Nonstens v's Robstens (hate that word) both sides need to take a chill pill and not let the other side affect the daily running of your life. With the exception of haters; there is not enough room in this world for the amount of hate over a couple they will never meet, never understand and hey, who suddenly made the 'fans and fanatics' their mothers or conscience?
I got a chance to see 'Bel Ami' for myself. If you can ignore the original posting put up by those who were eager to share their views on 'Rob's nakedness' and actually watch the movie like an adult - it's pretty darn good. No, in fact it's better than good, it's amazingly brilliant. I really enjoyed seeing a completely different side to Rob's acting. He was calculating but at the same time, charming and thrumming with sexual presence. His impersonation of Georges Duroy was in my mind, simply perfect. The way he strung those poor unfortunate *rolls eyes* married women and wrapped them around his little finger. With the exception i suppose of Virginie; played by Kristin Scott-Thomas and Clotilde; played by Christina Ricci, because he was particularly cruel to Virginie and almost devastatingly hurtful to Clotilde, whom i suspect Georges actually had deep feelings for. If you can watch a movie and forget the actor or actress playing the part and simply enjoy it for what it is - and that is escapism in a story, then the actor/actress has done their job well.
As for On The Road...
We finally after some 'technical difficulties' got to see the first trailer of Jack Kerouac's - On The Road. A movie that has been waiting 5 yrs to make.
If you are one of those 'haters' and don't want to understand anything about that time in America; the beatnik society (1950's beat generation) filled with hustlers, petty thieves and drug addicts - anti-conformists who broke all the rules, then it will be hard for you to understand why Kristen would do such a movie. Because in your eyes, she 'takes her clothes off, looks drugged up half the time and screws around with her co-stars; Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley' - literally. None of these so called 'fans of Rob' would even consider finding out anything about the movie, or indeed the book in which it's derived from. Instead, they take cheap shots at the story and refuse to even try and understand the diverse and complexity of one very confident and alluring young actress.
They get 'all fired up' because she needles at them; whittling away at their conscience and annoying the living daylights out of them...
For me, it doesn't matter what movie franchise, book, character or actor you follow - it doesn't cost much to be polite and respectful. If you don't like the person a celebrity is dating - then ask yourself this; is their relationship interfering with your life? If the answer is yes, then you need to find yourself another hobby, or an outlet in which to make your life more interesting. Or therapy, i recommend that one, because honestly some people in this fandom need a shot of reality or a large dose of common sense.
This year is going to be an epic year for both Rob and Kristen. With the surprising warm response 'Bel Ami' has already received (surprising because it was released very low key) and 'On The Road' looking to be a fantastic piece of cinematography (i can't wait to see it myself) we have also to look forward to 'Cosmopolis' again, seen as a complete 360 on anything Rob has ever done before. Outstanding good news from those who had the privilege of watching a screening of 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and finally the second instalment of 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' finishing the year off nicely.
If you are going to get 'all fired up' over anything, be happy both actors have so much to look forward to in their careers, because the best has yet to come. Stop being so angry and bitter at things or situations you have no control of. Be happy for once and everything will simply 'fall in line'
Kristen and Rob are happy, and will remain that way for a very long time to come. Instead of plotting the demise of a relationship or a career, accept that you don't control any of it. Once you do that, then you will 'learn from your mistakes' at the end of the day...'the deepest cuts' to your happiness are always 'healed by a little faith'
This post was brought to you by Pat Benetar - a rocker who knew how to put the 'rock into roll' edgy with just a little bit of glamorous - a bit like Kristen Stewart don't you think?

Oh, and i did not miss the little stab at the pathetic attempt to generate gossip around her name and Rob's - Katy Perry's beautiful 'heads up' for On The Road. A book she not only admits to reading herself, but it also influenced the lyrics to her hit 'Firework' I find it very honourable of the singer to not only make a comment about the movie, but she also put a link up on her twitter of the trailer. Lessons can be learned about gossip blogs who feel it necessary to stir up a little drama when it's not needed. Of course haters would see this as another 'turn in the road' a cover up for an affair they are trying to keep secret.
Yeah...sure...whatever...
