0 Rob and Kristen - "Protective Of My Family And Friends..."

Well, hello there...
It is getting increasingly harder for me to get near the computer, as i have a little under 7 weeks to pack my entire family and our lives, to ship us all off to Australia. Well we fly, our possessions get shipped, but you know what i mean?

So what happened over the weekend?
There seemed to be a buzz about - a little thing called the Oscars had Tinsel-town all in a flutter, as celebrities dined and drank at the very swanky pre-Oscar parties up and down the length and breadth of Hollywood. Anyone who was anyone had to be in attendance, networking and promoting recent projects or getting noticed for future ones. There was a little furore concerning a very much 'loved up and together' couple; who appeared together and very affectionate at the WME pre-Oscar private party in Brentwood/LA. Looking super causal in jeans/t-shirt/plaid shirt and heels (that's Kristen not Rob)

We know the drill right? As soon as Rob and Kristen step out of their happy little hiding place, the paps/stalkerazzi/photogs and shutterbugs (choose your name for them) descend like wolves. Usually it's fairly amicable between Rob and the paps, he tends to smile a little and walk quickly to an awaiting car. Except when he is with Kristen, then he becomes what i can only describe as a very 'protective' Lion; making sure he is in front of Kristen to train the paps cameras on him as he walks ahead of her.

I am by no means making a joke out of this, but stating a point. I was able to briefly catch the photos as they appeared online (thanks to the lovely ladies who keep me informed when i am away <3) and to say i am annoyed at how the paps just stuck their cameras right up in their faces...well they're the paps what do you expect? Mutterings from inside the party suggested Rob and Kristen were super close (duh) happy and together; constantly searching each other out as they chatted amongst the guests with no shortage of PDA.

Well...i would think, after 3 years the PDA would be fairly evident don't you think? And i don't mean PR-PDA because come on, are people still suggesting they are nothing but a showmance...pretty desperate for attention on both parties if that be the case. Yes they attended some pre-Oscars parties, this one was tweeted by some media darlings including Tayrn (Celebuzz) and Matt Donnelly (E!) the following night they were also spotted and tweeted at another pre-Oscar bash by celebrities; Pauley Perrette (Abby - NCIS) and Lauren Rodolitz. It seems the couple did a little bit of networking of their own; appearing at these events as a couple, instead of arriving and leaving separately - sucks to be a hater right now...doesn't it? 

Always protecting the one he loves...

I have always loved the idea of a protective man, especially when he is with the woman he loves. Rob has shown time and time again just how protective he is of Kristen; always stepping forward, shielding her body with his. It's not an arrogant display of 'i am man, you are woman walk ten steps behind me!' Rob knows just how ruthless people can be, so he draws the attention away from Kristen and straight onto him. This applies to going through airports, eating out, attending events and even premieres - he places his body between the fans, the media attention and Kristen - always.

Regardless of the quacked up excuses as to why he does this; he is a bigger actor than she is, he is embarrassed to be with her - hence he walks ahead...the facts remain the same "I'm very protective of my family and friends."

He did state during the Breaking Dawn promotion that "The love of your life becomes your family."

Essentially he was referring to falling in love and the one you love becomes your family, or at the very least a member of your family. We have all seen the private moments; when Kristen has been with his family and he has been seen with Kristen's. Hard not to understand that both families are incredibly important and emotionally grounding for both of them.

Rob and Kristen - Mr and Mrs Pattinson...

Like father, like son. Each man is very protective and supportive of the woman they love. You can't say that Rob is anything but protective as Kristen is incredibly supportive and defensive of him. It comes with the territory, it's naturally instinctive. So as the haters make up stories about how much they are not together - Rob and Kristen prove them wrong once again. I can't say i am not surprised by this, even if the angry Lion has to come out once in a while to play...

Get away from us...

It's still nice to see them both. They might have decided to loosen up on the 'hiding their relationship' now that the twilight saga is nearing it's end, people will see them as a couple and not just Edward and Bella. I agree with their director Bill Condon; they didn't want to mix up the relationships and cause further confusion. The only confusion i see at this point are the harpies and hyenas, as they sit in their darkened rooms and photo-shop images of their faces on the body of Kristen, walking ALWAYS beside Rob (such sad lives they lead)
